About Me

Hi, my name is Lisa Gardner and I am a second-year student in Stanford's Mechanical Engineering MS program focused on Mechatronics and Manufacturing. I also currently serve as a course assistant in the Stanford student shop (the Product Realization Lab) where I help advise students on how to conceptualize, 3D model, and manufacture their unique product designs.
I received my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and spent my last semester "studying abroad" at MIT. My passions include helping mentor women in STEM, designing intuitive products with a high social impact, and getting my hands dirty in the shop. My interest in entrepreneurship has led to my current involvement in the Stanford Threshold Venture Fellows program.
The one constant throughout my life has been learning new things and sharing that knowledge with others. Most recently, that has resulted in my transformation from "occasional skier" to ski instructor at Pine Knob Ski Resort in Clarkston, MI.
